Physical Science students study basic concepts of chemistry and physics. This course is a lab science and also culminates in a standardized course exam. Topics covered include: matter, the periodic table, chemical reactions, motion and forces, work and energy, and waves.

Accelerated Physical Science students cover the same material as regular science classes at a faster rate. An emphasis on writing skills is added to the curriculum and additional projects are required of these students. Upon completion of course requirements, students will receive an honors credit for this course.
